1. How do you view the idea of “evolving” in your field? Can you share a moment or phase in your work that felt particularly transformative or beautiful?
A - Evolving in my field means staying true to tradition while embracing personal growth and new narratives. A transformative phase for me was during my time in Baroda, where I missed home deeply. This longing pushed me to explore the comforting essence of everyday objects, like my mother’s shawl or my father’s jacket, and turn them into motifs in my art. It marked a shift where my work became an emotional bridge between my personal story and universal human experiences.
2. How important is self-expression to you, and how does it show in one thing you do at work and in your personal day-to-day style?
A - Self-expression is everything to me—it’s how I connect with myself and others. In my art, it appears as a blend of traditional printmaking techniques with modern, relatable themes. Personally, I carry the same ethos into my style: timeless yet bold. A statement accessory or a piece with emotional value is always part of my day-to-day look.
3. What is that one piece of clothing or accessory that can instantly put you in a cheerful mood?
A - My diamond and precious stones rainbow ring, which I lovingly call my “personal rainbow” or “rainbow on my hand,” is the piece that instantly lifts my spirits. The vibrant stones reflect so many different emotions, and every time I look at it, I feel a wave of joy. I bought it because, from the very first look, it felt like I was holding a rainbow—colorful, full of life, and radiant.
4. What draws you to fine jewelry? How does it bring you joy, and do you have any fond memories around jewelry that you cherish to date?
A- Fine jewelry is like wearable art—each piece tells a story and evokes emotion. My fondest memory is receiving a pink sea pearls necklace set from my father. He believes pink is my favorite color and has always thought it suits me best. Growing up, he would gift me pink clothes, and now that I love jewelry, he thoughtfully chose pink pearls for me. That necklace feels like a tangible expression of his love and care.
5. How do you feel when you wear Moi jewelry?
A- Wearing Moi jewelry makes me feel radiant and empowered. The designs resonate with my personal style—refined yet bold. Each piece feels intentional, like it was made to compliment who I am, blending beauty and individuality seamlessly.
