She introduces herself as someone who sees beauty in the everyday.
M - How do you honour your time when it truly belongs to you?
G - I try to use my time with purpose; I am very structured in setting aside intervals in my day for intense work and concentration and balance with moments for myself, however brief. My favourite way to honour time is to spend it with my parents, having tea or dinner with them and having an engaging conversation. London is an incredible city, and I enjoy doing 'simple' things which bring me joy, meeting a friend for a coffee, going for a walk by myself or buying flowers from a florist.
M - How important is self-expression to you, and can you tell us how it shows in one thing you do at work and in your personal day-to-day style?
G - My greatest form of self-expression is treating others with kindness, whether that is a stranger on the tube or a co-worker. It's something I am very mindful of, especially living in a big city where we lose that strong sense of human connection or kinship. My day-to-day style is minimal and polished. I purposefully wear a similar style of outfit every day, jeans, a black top and ballet flats. I do however love colour, although I reserve those sartorial moments for when I have the desire to make more of an impact.
M - What draws you to fine jewelry? How does it bring you joy, and are there any fond memories around jewellery that you cherish to date?
G - It's an artform. The longevity, history and craftsmanship around fine jewelry is what draws me to it, I immediately think of heritage pieces which are exceptional quality, and which can be passed down through generations. Fine jewelry brings me joy through every piece's individual story; whether it was a gift for a special occasion or it reminds me of a person or a specific time in my life. My favourite most cherished piece is my mother's engagement ring which she gave me many years ago, a long pink sapphire with diamonds, I've never seen anything quite like it.
